This year, for the first time, the chicken lovers pond is open from May 5 to June 2.
The pond hosts over 10,000 fish and other aquatic creatures from all over the world, including the iconic blue and yellow peacock.
The fish, which range from small to giant, have a rich taste and can fetch up to Rs 4,000.
They are fed in pots and are kept in a plastic bucket for 10 to 15 days.
A bowl of soup, called kurjoo, is also served here.
In 2017, the first fish was introduced to the pond, which is located at the southern edge of Pond Road, in a bid to lure more visitors.
Since then, the pond has seen an increase in visitors, particularly from Mumbai and Kolkata, which are traditionally the two fish capitals.
